I used this colorQ color challenge as inspiration for this card, but I did not use any Gray. (I forgot that was one of the colors, actually!) Just today I received a shipment of new stuff including the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder. I had this card all made except for the embossing. Then I swiped both Old Olive and Crumb Cake ink pads over the embossed images. I love how it turned out!

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Just Believe, Close As a Memory
Ink: Crumb Cake, VersaMark, Basic Black, Old Olive
Paper: Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake
Tools: Big Shot, Vintage Wallpaper EF, Coluzzle Cutting System, Decorative Label punch, Black EP, heat tool
Embellishments: 5/8" Old Olive grosgrain ribbon, Designer Buttons Neutrals Whisper White, crochet thread

I was thrilled to come across a blog with fabulous color combinations/challenges called colourQ. Even happier to discover they have a page with (almost) all of their color combos laid out for ease of viewing. Seriously: thrilled!!! And I am happy to have been able to make a card tonight and get it posted. I'll be busy in the morning and the submissions close at noon tomorrow.

Above is the image for colourQ Color Challenge #66. Long story short, I didn't end up using white in my card! I feel like it's missing a little something... but don't really know what. I do know, though, that I'll put another card together with these colors in the near future - I think I can make a cuter card with them. :)

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Kind & Caring Thoughts, Sincere Salutations
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Basic Black
Paper: Daffodil Delight, Basic Black textured, Baja Breeze DSP (retired), Soft Sky, So Saffron
Tools: Scallop Edge punch, Stamp-A-Ma-Jig
Embellishments: 3/8" Daffodil Delight Taffeta ribbon, Designer Buttons Neutrals Basic Black

I making progress on the 300 wedding invitations! I've cut 100 each of 4 different pieces of the invite! (There will be at least 3 other pieces with the printed information and then 3 punched pieces for the tab on the front). Pictures forthcoming. :) I'm feeling pretty good about what I've accomplished in just the last 2 days in the midst of having a home, a husband and a 3-year-old!

Meanwhile, I can't not make cards. :) I still have 2 greeting card orders to fill! So, with the color challenge from Pals Paper Arts I made another birthday card. I kept this one very simple and I really like it. You have to click and make the picture big to really see, but I stamped the circles (from Apple Blossoms) along the left side.

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Apple Blossoms, A Word for You
Ink: Perfect Plum, Certainly Celery, Soft Sky
Paper: Baja Breeze, Elegant Soiree DSP, Very Vanilla, Certainly Celery
Tools: Double Scalloped Ribbon Border punch, Corner Rounder punch
Embellishments: Twill Tape

And this finishes up the non-birthday cards for the order I'm currently working on. Two more birthday cards and I'll be delivering the cards! Yay! However, I like that one could use this for a birthday card; but it is also appropriate for a just-because card. I' submitting this as my second card for the SUO challenge running now.

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Apple Blossoms
Ink: Melon Mambo, Early Expresso
Paper: Early Espresso, Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Pacific Point, Concord Crush
Tools: Big Shot, Beautiful Wings embosslit
Embellishments: Sticky Strip with Dazzling Diamonds glitter

I'm trying to finish up an order of greeting cards so I can move on to wedding invitations and TWO more orders of greeting cards!! I love having more reason to create cards - besides just for "samples!" :) Here is one that I will be making again! I love this color combination; it's soft and fresh. I think Pear Pizzazz may be better than Wild Wasabi, but I do not have any PP ink [yet]!
Supplies:
Stamp Set: Apple Blossoms
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Baja Breeze
Paper: Blushing Bride, Soft Suede textured and smooth, Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla
Tools: Large Oval punch, Scalloped Oval punch, Double Scalloped Ribbon Border punch
Embellishments: Basic Pearls, 1/8" Very Vanilla Taffeta ribbon
