Stamping in Support

This set Strength and Hope was designed in support of breast cancer awareness. Stampin' Up! will donate $2 per set sold to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This set goes on Sale May 1st in the summer mini catalog. A few local demonstrators are organizing a stamping class (here in Bartonville, IL). The fee for the event would include the purchase of this set, a package of adhesive pearls, supplies to make 5 cards with those products and a $5 donation to local breast cancer foundations. Call or email me for more details!
Here is a link to a gallery of cards made with this set.

Color Throwdown challenge this week: Navy, White and one color of your choice. For the first time in years, I had a new dress for Easter Sunday. Of course, then it was a chilly 48 degrees when I was heading to church so I ended up not wearing it! (It will now be a Mother's Day dress! LOL) Anyway, the point of all that is to say the dress is white and navy striped and I have bright yellow wedges and a necklace of silver and yellow to wear with it. So, I decided to base my card on that outfit! :)

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Define Your Life
Ink: Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight
Paper: Daffodil Delight, Night of Navy, Whisper White
Tools: Big Shot, Ovals die, Perfect Polka Dots EF, 2 3/8" Scallop Circle punch, Wide Oval punch, Boho Blossoms punch
Embellishments: SAB Ice Cream Parlor buttons, 3/8" Daffodil Delight Taffeta ribbon, crochet thread

CJ's Wedding Invitations

Back in October I agreed to make 300 wedding invitations for a coworker. My deadline is coming up! I told her I'd have them for her by the first of May. Today I'm on to embossing the fronts. I'm taking a break from cranking here! As this picture shows, I am halfway through this step.
Here is all 300 of each other piece and one sample of the finished product. There is a pocket that will go on the inner lefthand side. The big black heart need to be sparkled with Iridescent Ice embossing powder. And all the pieced will be layered and adhered!

Then, hopefully, she'll send me all the info for the inside and I'll get these wrapped up. :)

Last week I came across a large scrap piece of Poppy Parade. I'm not particularly fond of that color, so what I've used has not been replaced. When I found it, though, I set it out and later in the week, Inkspirations put out a color challenge using Poppy Parade. Talk about timing. :)

Paper: Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Poppy Parade, Whisper White
