January 28, 2012

This color scheme comes from this weeks ColorQ challenge. I took the liberty of adding some Baja Breeze as that color caught my eye in the inspiration photo, even though she didn't list it among the colors for the challenge. Also, the sketch comes from the Friday Mashup challenge. Ironically, the other half of the "mashup" challenge was to use something new; the DSP and the red ribbon are quite old, in fact!

Supplies
Stamp Set: A Slice of Life
Ink: StazOn, More Mustard, Riding Hood Red
Paper: Crumb Cake, Riding Hood Red, More Mustard and Old Olive DSP, Old Olive, Whisper White
Tools: Big Shot, Ovals die
Embellishments: Dress Up Ribbon Originals (I think!), Antique Brad, 1/8" Baja Breeze Taffeta ribbon

Thanks for clicking over to my blog today!

  1. Very cute card! Love the touch of ribbon on the vase and the oval on its *side*. Using *old* stuff is always a good idea! Otherwise, we'd all get buried in our craft rooms! Thans for joining us at the Friday Mahup!

  3. Ellen,

This is so pretty, I used old papers as well, I missed the new bit! I really like the little bit of ribbon on the vase and the antique brad you've added. Really lovely use of that colour challenge too.
