These colors come from Just Add Ink's color challenge that wraps up today! I've seen so many great ideas for this punch - I didn't get as creative as some, but I still like the look of this card! Here are two views as I punched the largest flower image from the Blossom Bouquet triple layer punch out of the front of the card and place colored punched flowers on the inside of the card.

For the Just Add Ink challenge this week. It's a Color Challenge which I followed exactly for the second card, but for the first I used Crumb Cake instead of River Rock. They're pretty much the same other than that and the differing greeting. I was inspired by the CAS designs presented by many of the DT members this week. I suppose I was most inspired by Gardenia Pepworth's card.

And... yet another birthday card. Get used to it! :) But remember that "Happy birthday" can always be changed to a different phrase. I share my posts with the intent to provide inspiration for someone else's project. I love that about stamping people - we share, copy, improve, etc. - on purpose. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery, right?!

Anyway, back to the card. This is a fabulous color combo (in my opinion) that has produced a card I feel could be used for a guy. This layout comes from the Just Add Ink challenge (which is in its second and final week and I've finally gotten around to it).

Butterflies and bling comin' at ya today! Just Add Ink's challenge this week is to make your card very feminine with pink and sparklies! I chose SU!'s dainty Pink Pirouette and one of their butterfly stamps, since butterflies are dainty as well. And, surprise, more rhinestones!! :)

This card used the kissing technique, for which this butterfly is perfect. I inked it up in Pink, then took my dot stamp inked in Espresso. My [p]inked :) butterfly resting rubber-up on the table, I kissed it with the dot stamp leaving Espresso colored dots on the butterfly. Then you take the butterfly and stamp it on your paper. The trick to this is a quick, light touch with the pattern stamp; press too hard and it will smudge. This kiss is just a peck - a butterfly kiss, if you will!!

I'm Finally Back!!!

We got back from CO last Tuesday evening. Then it was unpacking, grocery buying, laundry, car cleaning, a Stampin' Up! workshop, work from 3-11pm all 3 weekend days, house cleaning and the usual "life" activities. FINALLY today came the chance to sit at my stamping table and play!! I, of course, have been keeping my eye on the blogs I follow which post challenges. Sooo, even though I said I had a lot to do (and that's true) and I probably wouldn't post til after the weekend... I squeezed in another card. I was waiting for bread dough to rise, so I had to do something! :) Right after setting the bread dough aside to rise, I decided to hop around on my favorite challenge blogs. Just Add Ink has a great sketch challenge and my gears started turning. Maybe I should bake and craft more often as I am quite pleased with how this turned out!

I have not even a scrap of Bravo Burgundy card stock right now!! BUT when I went through my ring filled with all the SU! card stock colors (my usual starting point...) I chose these 3: So Saffron, Baja Breeze and Bravo Burgundy. Also, while you can certainly use other shapes here, I really like the Decorative Label shape. BUT I don't have the Decorative Label punch (YET! it is available now in the Holiday Mini!).

My solution to these two problems was to take one of my extras from the Matchbox die, tacked it onto a piece of Very Vanilla, grabbed my sponge dauber and my Bravo Burgundy ink pad and Voila! Then I used another scrap piece that the label had been cut from and used it to mask as I stamped the flowers. Also, the edges of the entire card were swiped with the dauber.

I made these cards for the Just Add Ink challenge to use Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake (Kraft) and Real Red. This combo easily lends itself to Christmas projects. But since that was quick to come to mind, I wanted to go farther and do a non-Christmas one, too! This Christmas card uses an embossing folder from the 2010 Holiday Mini, active Sept 1st!
