Thank You Cards

It's that time of year - thank you time! Christmas meant lots of gifts for my husband as he is a Jr High youth pastor to some grateful kids and parents. I received a generous gift from the doctors with whom I work. What better way to show appreciation for the many gift cards than a handmade thank-you card!
I usually give a description for each card, but not today. I'm just going to bombard you with a bunch of pictures! The first pair are not TY's, just a couple that I made a few months ago and never posted.

My little boy starts kindergarten next week. Yikes! Tonight is Meet the Teacher. I made this pack of 10 Thank You cards - what teacher doesn't need those on-hand?! Adam and I made the Bookworm bookmark together. I had this box but it has the logo of a local day spa on the top, so I covered it with some Sweet Pea DSP that I still have! It all fits in with the challenge from Catherine & Cathy Create to make something "In the Garden."

Supplies for the Bookworm:
Ink: Old Olive (sponged)
Paper: Old Olive
Tools: Circle punches 3/4"-1 3/8", sponge
Embellishments: googly eyes!

This is a 4x4 card
Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Flower Shop, Four You
Ink: So Saffron, Baja Breeze, Calypso Coral, Early Espresso
Paper: Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso textured
Tools: Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots EF, Pansy punch, 3/4" Circle punch
Embellishment: Calypso Coral ribbon

August 5, 2013

We have been busy this summer. Work has been crazy, draining my evening energy. And I've been getting things together, running to appointments and turning in paperwork so we'll be ready to send our little boy to kindergarten!! Unbelievable!
I made some time yesterday and today to get some cards made. A few for a customer, a couple to put with baby shower gifts and some example cards to use while making cards with my aunt this weekend! She made a few cards with my help a couple of years ago. We are going for a visit Friday and Saturday so she asked if I could bring stuff to make a few cards while I'm there. Can't say "no" to that. :)
This one will go to my customer and be used this weekend! I found the sketch at a site I just found today while searching for inspiration, Paper Craft Crew
